Which Atta Should We Buy? What a dilemma!

Triple Shriek


I foolishly believed that I'd be in the clear with my real blog at etherwork.net. But no. Of course not. It has had to be taken offline again because of ongoing malicious hammering by bots.

Over the past several weeks, I have been removing broken links, locking things down (as best I could) and waiting for the bots to grow tired and finally realize that there really is no point to their hammering. It's not as if their mischief if affecting very many people. Surely, their goal is to bother a significantly larger group than me and my little circle of friends!

In the meantime, other aspects of my foolishness continue:

Wordless B&W Not-Wednesday: Vintage Wine
summary: Pauillac 'Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste' Saint Girons 1986 (grand cru); not for cats!; the grapes for this wine were just beginning to ripen in the vineyard on the day we met; experiments in sepia, black and white and colour; Photos taken on FujiFilm S3100 digital camera. Using Irfanview, to create the black and white, I desaturated by 100% to remove the colour, then upped the contrast and added -1R, 1G and 3B. To create the sepia version, I altered the colour again by adding 20R, 5G and -10B)

Double Shriek!!!!

I was all set to report that everything is almost back to normal with my real blog. Over the past couple of days after the site was restored, I spent a fair amount of time locking things down there, to stop the malicious bots from accessing areas on the site that are none of their beeswax.

And at some point tonight, the bots got really mad and... you guessed it... I'm once again locked out of my site.

SPIT!!!!

It looks like I'm going to have to resort to using this blog to post about the BBB's October 2014 bread that I made today and was planning to post about tomorrow. 

edit 16 October: My real blog is back online again (for now). I have a bad feeling that it will be on and off until the malicious bots get tired of their stupid game.
